7. Connect the cables removed in step (1) to the mating connectors as before.
8. Close the ejector. Strongly push the protrusion of ejector until the controller is inserted firmly.
9. Tighten a screw to secure the ejector.
When inserting the controller into the disk array unit, push it as far as it will go and
then secure it with the screws.
Incorrect insertion may cause malfunction.
If the controller is replaced with new one, the system starts using the IP address
specified for new controller. To connect with maintenance PC and NEC Storage
Manager via Ethernet, perform the following procedure:
– For maintenance PC, connect by using the default IP address.
– For NEC Storage Manager via Ethernet, shutdown the NEC Storage Manager
server. Wait at least three minutes after the controller starts flashing, and then
connect it again.
