Using
Your Electric Convection Oven
Dehydrating
You can use your convection oven to dehy-
drate a variety of foods.
NOTES:
• To learn detailed information about dehy-
dration, refer to a book written specifically
about dehydrating and/or preserving foods.
• If you do not turn off oven after dehy-
drating, the oven will keep running until
you press LOWER OVEN CANCEL.
1. Prepare
food.
Preparefoods as recommended
in recipe.
4. Position
door,
Attach the dehydration spacer', which is
specially designed to depress the oven
light plunger and maintain the operation
of the fan during dehydration.
The spacer provides a 1-inch (2.54)
gap between the oven frame and the
oven door allowing moisture to escape.

drying
racks.
Racks are not included with oven. See
below to order a dehydration kit1"which
includes racks and a spacer or contact a
local store handling specialty cookwara.
3. Place drying racks in the oven
to allow maximum air circula-
tion
around the racks.

5. Press and hold CONVECTION
BAKE for 5 seconds.

6. Set temperature
(optional).

DO this step if you want to set a
temperature (from 100°F [38°C] to 20O°F
[95°C]) other than 140°F (60°C).
