serve as pockets for the accumulation of this gas. Before
attempting to light or relight the water heater'spilot or turning
on a nearbyelectricallight switch,be absolutelysumthere isno
accumulatodgasin the area. Searchfor odor of gasbysnimng at
groundlevel in the vicinityof the appliance.If odor is detected,
followstepsindicatedat "For Your Safety" on the coverpageof
thismanualthen leavethe premise_
