Counter space must be provided for installation of the
cooktop. To insure accuracy, it is best to make a template
when cutting theopening in the counter. See illustration
below for all necessary dimensions.
When choosing a location, the following minimum
clearances must be maintained between the cooktop and
adjacent combustible surfaces:
• 30" (76.2 cm) minimum vertical clearance from the
cooktop to the nearest overhead surface.
• 18" (45.7 cm) minimum vertical clearance to adjacent
(76.2 c m)
Before installing the cooktop or moving it toanother
location have the electrician verify:
• That your home is provided with adequate
• That the addition of the cooktop will not overload the
household circuit on which it is used.
