    _lnsertinq the Battery and a Memory Card Although the camera can store pictures in internal memory, optional SDHC, and SDXC memory cards (sold separately) can be used to store addi- tional pictures. After charging the battery, insert the battery and memory card as described below.

    Pictures in _r_ (Scene Recoqnition) Mode This section describes how to take pictures in ,_ (scene recognition) mode. The camera automatically analyzes the composition and adjusts settings ap- propriately. 1 Turn the camera on, Press the ON/OFFbutton to turn the camera on. 8R shooting indicators will be displayed.
