Introduction
●No possibility of overwriting
Unlike tape devices, you do not need to search for the recording start position or locate the
beginning of blank portion.
You cannot overwrite on the images recorded on disc.
●Quick start recording
Press the SLEEP/RESTART button if you do not want to record right now: The DVD camera/
recorder will stand by in immediate recordable status. Press the SLEEP/RESTART button when you
all at once see a scene you want to record: You can start recording immediately (see page 28).
●You can enjoy playback images on a DVD player
You can play back images on a DVD player that conforms to recorded DVD discs even if your DVD
camera/recorder is not connected to a TV. Since this DVD camera/recorder can use various types of
disc - DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD-R, +RW - you can play the recorded images on those discs using
most DVD players (see pages 21 and 30).
Using Your DVD Video Camera/Recorder
1 Preparing (see pages 21 – 26)
Select recording media, prepare a battery
(batteries), set up the desired language and
date/time.
2 Recording (see pages 27 – 28)
3 Viewing on the DVD video camera/
recorder (see pages 29, 31)
You can also connect the DVD video camera/
recorder to a TV to view playback images.

4 Viewing on another DVD device (see
page 30)
Finalise DVD(s) and you can play back
images on a DVD device other than this DVD
video camera/recorder.
5 Editing (see page 29)
You can delete unwanted scenes.
