Problem Cause
Pump has following problems:failure
to producepressure, erratic pressure,
chattering, loss of pressure, low water
volume.
Detergent fails to mix with spray.
1. Nozzlein low pressure mode.
2. Water inlet is blocked.
3. Inadequatewater supply.
4. Inlet hose is kinked or leaking.
5. Clogged inlet hose strainer.
6. Water supply is over IO0°F.
7. High pressure hose is blocked or
leaks.
8. Gun leaks.
9. Orifice is obstructed.
10. Pump is faulty.
1. Detergentsiphoning tube is not
submerged.
2. Detergentfilter is clogged.
3. Nozzleis in high pressure mode.
Engine runs good at no-load but "bogs" Engine speed is too slow.
when load is added.
Engine will not start; or starts and runs
rough.
1. Dirty air cleaner.
2. Out of fuel.
3. Stale fuel.
4. Spark plug wire not connected to
spark plug.
5. Bad spark plug.
6. Water in fuel.
7. Excessivelyrich fuel mixture.
8. Intake valve stuck open or closed.
9. Engine has lost compression.
Correction
1. Pull nozzle backward for high
pressure mode.
2. Clear inlet.
3. Provide adequatewater flow.
4. Straighten inlet hose, patch leak.
5. Checkand clean inlet hose strainer.
6. Provide cooler water supply.
7. Clear blocks in outlet hose.
8. Replacegun.
9. Cleanorifice.
10. Contact Searsservice facility.
1. Insert detergent siphoning tube into
detergent.
2. Cleanor replace filter/detergent
siphoning tube.
3. Push nozzleforward for low
pressure mode.
Move throttle control to FASTposition. If
engine still "bogs down", contact Sears
service facility.
1. Cleanor replace air cleaner.
2. Fill fuel tank.
3. Drain fuel tank; fill with fresh fuel.
4. Connectwire to spark plug.
Out of fuel.
Engine shuts downduring operation.
Engine lacks power. Dirty air filter. Replaceair filter.
5. Replacespark plug.
6. Drain fuel tank; fill with fresh fuel.

Fill fuel tank.
