Probable Cause

The fan speed of the switch is outside of the normal range. Fan-related messages
occur when fans fail. Fan problems typically contribute to temperature problems.

Recommended Action

Replace the fan.

index>) is below low boundary, current value: <value> C. (faulty)
Explains that the internal temperature of the switch has fallen below the low
boundary. Provides the new value.
This message is informational. Respond to this message as is appropriate to
the particular policy of the end-user installation.
FW-ABOVE, 3, envTemp<element index> (Env Temperature <element
index>) is above high boundary, current value: <value> C. (faulty)
Explains that the internal temperature of the switch has risen to a value that
may damage the switch. Provides the new value.
This message generally appears when a fan fails. If so, a fan-failure message
will accompany this message. Replace the fan. Possibly, the outside
temperature is too high.
