AE/AF Lock Button
Press the MENU button -') V tab (_]13) -') AE/AF lock button
Select the function to be performed when the _:_ (AE-L/AF-L) button (_5) is
pressed while shooting.
Description
Lock both the focus and exposure when the _[ (AE-L/AF-L)
button is pressed.
Lock only the exposure when the J_:E(AE-L/AF-L) button is pressed.
Lock only the focus when the _[ (AE-L/AF-L) button is pressed.
The _:_ (AE-L/AF-L)button setting is displayed on the monitor during shooting (_8).
• During still picture shooting, lock only when the AE/AF-L button is pressed.
• During movie recording, lock when the AE/AF-L button is pressed, and release
when the button is pressed again.

_1_ Notes on AE/AF Lock Button Setting
• The _,_I (AE L/AF L) button cannot be used when Scene auto selector is selected in scene mode,
• AE L (exposure locking) cannot be used when the shooting mode is set to M,
• AF L (focus locking) cannot be used when focus mode (_67) is set to
MF
(manual focus).
