TO INSTALL
MUFFLER
DEFLECTOR
if your mower has the spark plug in the
front, skip ahead to "TO ATTACH GRASS
CATCHER" and discard muffler deflector.
A CAUTION"
Muffler and other engine
parts become extremely hot during
operation and remain hot after engine has
stopped. To avoid severe burns on contact,
perform the following steps only when
mower is cool.
1. Position the muffler deflector over
muffler with opening towards rear of
mower as shown.
2. Line up holes in muffler deflector with
holes in muffler and attach with four (4)
screws. Tighten securely.

TO ATTACH

1. Lift mower's spring loaded discharge
guard (if equipped).
2. Place frame of grass catcher under
right hand arm of chute mounting
bracket. The frame will easily slide into
position on the left hand arm of chute
mounting
bracket.
NOTE: If your mower is equipped with a
spring loaded discharge guard, the frame
of the grass catcher will hold the discharge
guard up whenever the grass catcher is
installed.

TO EMPTY

CATCHER
1. Simply remove grass catcher from
mower, open flip lid and empty catcher
through opening.
2. Close flip lid and reattach grass
catcher to mower as described above.
A CAUTION:
Do not operate lawn mower
with flip lid of grass catcher open.
CLEANING
• The grass catcher may be hosed with
water, but must be dry when used.
• Check your grass catcher often for dam-
age or deterioration. Through normal
use it will wear. If catcher needs replac-
ing, replace only with a manufacturer
approved replacement catcher.
