Using the LCD Monitor-
Remote Control
Available modes: all modes
The built-in LCD monitor can be detached from
the camcorder and used as a remote control. It
is possible to steady the camcorder (e.g.
attach it to a tripod) and perform various
operations from a distance while checking the
operations on the LCD monitor-remote control
screen.
Detaching the LCD Monitor

Remove the battery pack or DC cable
from the camcorder.

Open the LCD monitor.

Hold up the LCD monitor UNLOCK
release (1) and slide the LCD monitor
in the direction of the arrow (2) to
remove it.

Align the d mark on the bracket of the
supplied detachable LCD cable with the
f mark on the camcorder (1), and
slide the bracket in the direction of the
arrow (2) until it locks into place.

Align the shape of the connector with
the terminal on the LCD monitor and
insert the connector until it locks into
place.

To attach the LCD monitor to the
camcorder

Perform step 1 above.

Hold down the catches (1) and pull out
the connector of the detachable LCD
cable from the LCD monitor (2).

Hold up the UNLOCK release (1) and
slide the bracket of the detachable LCD
cable in the direction of the arrow (2) to
remove it.

Place the bracket of the LCD monitor
against the LCD monitor mounting
surface, and slide the bracket in the
direction of the arrow until it locks into
place.
