Operating Playback Zoom with the
Infrared Remote Control
It is possible to shift the magnified picture in
Playback Zoom mode by using the infrared
remote control. (See pages 47 and 48 for the
use of the infrared remote control.)

During playback (or still playback) in
TAPE-VCR or CARD-VCR mode, press
the ZOOM T button to zoom in.
• Press the ZOOM W button to zoom out.

Press the Shift a, v, f, or d buttons
to shift the magnified image.

To cancel Playback Zoom
Press the ZOOM W button until the widest
angle is obtained.

Gamma Playback

Available mode: TAPE-VCR
The gamma playback function improves the
tape playback picture by increasing the
brightness of the subject while leaving the
brighter portions of the image unaffected.

To cancel Gamma Playback
Touch [GAMMA PB] until "GAMMA1" and
"GAMMA2" disappear.
Note:
• Gamma Playback has no effect during still

playback.
During playback in TAPE-VCR mode,
display the [2/3] screen (see page 30).
Touch [GAMMA PB] once.
• "GAMMA1" appears, and the picture
becomes brighter.
