You need to construct an overall storage architecture by:
1.
Determining the amount of total storage available
2.
Deciding how to allocate it to different groups or functions
Storage space is spread across volume groups. In these volume groups, you must create file
volumes to divide your disk space. It is important that you plan storage space prior to creating
file volumes. Although the HP NAS 8000 lets you expand your volume groups later, you may
want to reserve extra space during setup to allow for the use of snapshots.
