NON-CONTACT AC VOLTAGE DETECTOR
The EX310 can detect the presence ofAC voltage (from 100 to
600VAC) simply bybeing h eld v ery n ear toavoltage source.
WARNING: Test the AC voltage detector onaknown live circuit
before each u se.
WARNING: Before using t he meter inthe AC Voltage Detector
mode, verify t hat the battery isfresh b y confirming characters
appear onthe LCD when t he function dial i sturned toany
position. Donot a ttempt touse the meter as anAC Voltage
Detector ifthe battery isweak o rbad.
NON-CONTACT VOLTAGE (NCV)
The NCV f unction works onany rotary
switch position.
1. Test the detector onaknown live circuit
before use.
2. Press and hold t he NCV button forthe
duration ofthe test. The meter will b eep
once w hen t he button ispushed.
3. Hold t he top ofthe meter very c lose t o
the voltage source asshown.
4. Ifvoltage ispresent, the rim ofthe LCD
display will f lash a bright orange and an
audible
warning will sound.
