Followthis manualfor safe loading,unloading,transporting,and
storageof this machine.
Neverstorethe machineor fuel containerinsidewherethereis an
open flame,spark or pilot lightsuch as a waterheater,furnace,
clothesdryer,etc.
Allowmachineto cool at least 5 minutesbeforestoring.
• Alwaysreferto the operator'smanualfor properinstructionson
off-seasonstorage.
• If thefuel tank hasto be drained,do this outdoors.
• Observeproperdisposallawsand regulations for gas, oil,etc. to
protectthe environment.
• Accordingto the ConsumerProductsSafetyCommission(CPSC)
and the U.S.Environmental P rotectionAgency(EPA),this product
hasan Average UsefulLifeof seven(7) years,or 60 hoursof
operation.At the end of theAverageUseful L ife havethe machine
inspectedannuallybyan authorizedservicedealer to ensurethat
all mechanicaland safetysystemsare workingproperlyand not
wornexcessively.Failureto do so can resultin accidents,injuries
or death.
DO NOT MODIFY ENGINE
Toavoidseriousinjuryor death, do not modifyenginein anyway.
Tampering with the governorsettingcan leadto a runawayengineand
causeit to operateat unsafespeeds.Nevertamperwith factory setting
of enginegovernor.
NOTICE REGARDING EMISSIONS
Engineswhich are certifiedtocomplywith Californiaand federal
EPAemissionregulations for SORE(SmallOff RoadEquipment) are
certifiedto operateon regularunleadedgasoline,and mayinclude
the followingemissioncontrol systems:EngineModification (EM),
OxidizingCatalyst(CO), SecondaryAir Injection(SAI)and ThreeWay
Catalyst(TWO)if so equipped.
SPARK ARRESTOR
This machineis equippedwith an internalcombustion engineand
shouldnotbe usedon or near anyunimproved forest-covered,
brushcovered or grass-covered land unlessthe engine'sexhaust
systemis equippedwith a sparkarrestormeetingapplicablelocal or
statelaws (if any)
If a sparkarrestoris used, it shouldbe maintained in effectiveworking
order by theoperator.Inthe State of Californiathe aboveis required
bylaw (Section4442 of the CaliforniaPublicResources Code). Other
statesmayhavesimilarlaws. Federallawsapplyon federallands.
