asterisks (**) in the CRU ID column. An N in the CRU ID column means the

ThinkPad computers contain the following types of the external CRUs:
External CRUs (pluggable)
These CRUs unplug from the computer. Examples of these types of
CRUs include an ac adapter, an external keyboard, a mouse, a power
cord, a port replicator, a USB device, and an external bay device
adapter.
External CRUs with latches
These CRUs have a latch to help you to remove and replace the part.
Examples of these types of CRUs include a battery pack, an Ultrabay
device such as an optical drive, a hard disk drive, and an extended
battery.
ThinkPad computers contain the following types of the internal CRUs:
Internal CRUs (located behind an access panel)
These CRUs are isolated parts within the computer that are concealed
by an access panel that is typically secured by either one or two
screws. Once the access panel is removed, only the specific CRU is
visible. Examples of these types of CRUs include a memory card and a
hard disk drive.
Internal CRUs (located within the product itself)
These CRUs are accessible only by opening the outer case of the
computer. Examples of these CRUs include the integrated keyboard
parts beneath the integrated keyboard and parts beneath the palm rest.
v A RoHS compliant FRU is identified by an R. An N in the RoHS ID column
means the part is not a RoHS compliant FRU.
v FRUs marked with OP are available as options.
