Changing the menu settings
POWER
Icon/item Mode Meaning switch
SLIDE SHOW -- To play back images in a continuous loop MEMORY
(p. 154).
DELETE ALL -- To delete all the unprotected images (p. 158). MEMORY
FORMAT • RETURN To cancel formatting. MEMORY
OK To format an inserted "Memory Stick."
1. Select FORMAT with ,L/'[, then press EXE(.
2. Press ,L/T to select OK, then press EXEC.
3. After "'EXECUTE" appears, press EXEC.
"FORMATTING" flashes during formatting.
"COMPLETE" appears when formatting is
finished.
To duplicate still images on mini DV tape onto VCR
"Memory Stick'(p. 140).

Notes on formatting
• "Memory Stick" supplied with your camcorder has been formatted at factory.
Formatting with your camcorder is not required.
• Do not turn the POWER switch or press any button while "FORMATTING" is
displayed.
• You cannot format the "Memory Stick" if the write-protect tab on the "Memory Stick"
is set to LOCK.
• Format the "Memory Stick" if "g_] FORMAT ERROR"appears.
Formatting erases all information on the "Memory Stick"
Check the contents of the "Memory Stick" before formatting.
• Formatting erases sample images on the "Memory Stick".
• Formatting erases the protected image data on the "Memory Stick".
