Using The System Recovery
CD(s)
The System Recover' CD utility fom_ats your hard disk drive and restores [he
opc_rating system and all the original, prciastalled soi'_ware applications. I[f[he
operating system or applications become eorrugted or are erased, you can restore
your computer m the originN lhetoq setting. The System ;RecoveR' CD can
only be used to restore [he h_d disk drive of the Sony computer you purchased.

TheSystem Recovery p rocess removes ell software thatyoumay have
installed since youstartedusing yourcomputer.Reinstall a nyapplications
thatwerenotincluded withthecomputer whenyonpurchased i t.
ITyou experience a problem with your computer, reinstalling an individual
application or device driver may correct the problem. You may not need to
recover [he en6re contents of your hard drive.
When you sueeessl'ully complete your system recover', you are prompted to
complete the Windows registration process.
