discharge it before recharging. It can be recharged at any point.

charge the battery pack after having discharged it completely to
prolong battery life.

eKeepthe batterypackterminals ((_)(_0) cleanat all times. Dirty
terminals may causepoor contact betweenthe battery packand camera.
Polish the terminalswith a tissue or a dry cloth beforecharging or using
the battery pack.
eDo not rapidlyoverturn or wavethe batterychargeraround when it
containsthe batterypack.The batterypackcould fly out.
eAt low temperatures,battery packperformance may be reducedand the
low battery icon mayappearearlierthan usual.Underthese conditions,
resuscitatethe battery packby warming it ina pocketimmediatelybefore
use. However,ensurethat there are no metallicitems in the pocketthat
could causea short circuit, such as a key holder,etc.
eDo not placeanything,such astablecloths,carpets, beddingor cushions,
on top of the batterychargerwhile it is charging. Heatwill build up and
could result in a fire.
eDo not chargebatteriesother than Battery PackNB-1LH or NB-1L inthis
charger.
eThe batterypack continuesto dischargea minimal portionof its power
while installedin the camera, evenwith the power off, or in the charger.
This will shorten batterylife.
