About Folders
As vdth "100EOS1D" for exampIe, the folder name starts with three digits
(folder number) followed by five characters. A folder can contain up to 9999
images (file No. 0001 - 9999). When a folder becomes full. a new fo der with a
higner one-up foider number is created autornaticaJly. AJso. if manual rese[
(p.80) is execu_ea, a new folder w_ll be created automabcalIy. FoJders
numberea from 100 to 999 can be created.
Creat ing Folders with a Personal Computer
With tne memory card open on the screen create a new foider named "DCJM
Open the DClM folder and crea[e as many folders as necessary to save and
organize your _mages. The foJder name must follow [ne 'I00ABC D" format
where the first three digits is I00 - 999 followed by five alphanumeric
characters. The five characters can be a combination of upper- or lower-case
letters from A to Z. numeraJs, and an underscore"". There can De no spaces
in the folder name. Also, folder names cannot have [ne same [nree-dlgit
number such as "100ABC D" and "I00W XYZ" even if the letters are
different.
