5-1. Needles and threads

The needle and threads to be used vary depending on sew-
ing conditions. Select the correct ones by referring to the
table below.

pressed by mistake, which could result in injury.

1. Insert the power cord plug into the wall outlet, and
then turn on the power switch.
2. Depress the treadle slightly and check that the ma-
chine pulley starts to turn in the direction of the ar-

* If the direction of rotation is reversed, change the
direction of rotation to the correct direction while
referring to the instruction manual for the motor.
* For the first 3 - 4 days of use, run the machine at
500 rpm lower than the usual speed. This will help
contribute to a longer service life for the machine.
