1. Reseat the following components,
depending on the server model:
v Hot-swap and non-hot-swap models:
a. Hard disk drive
b. Hard disk drive cable
c. Optional adapter cable
v Simple-swap models:
a. Hard disk drive
b. Hard disk drive cable
c. Optional adapter cable
2. Replace the following components one at
a time, depending on the server model,
in the order shown, restarting the server
each time:
v Hot-swap and non-hot-swap models:
a. Hard disk drive
b. Hard disk drive cable
c. Optional adapter cable
d. SAS/SATA backplane
v Simple-swap models:
a. Hard disk drive
b. Hard disk drive cable
c. SATA backplate
3. (Trained service technician only) Replace
the system board.
