START IGNITION
KEY
The electricstartignitionkey is locatedon the left side of the handle
panel.It is usedonly for theelectricstarter.
SIDE DISCHARGE
CHUTE
Your moweris shippedas a mulcher.Todischargethegrass clippings
to the side instead,followthe instructionsin the Assemblysectionto
attachthe sidedischargechute.
CUTTING
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
LEVER
The cuttingheightadjustmentleveris locatedabovethe
left rearwheel.Toadjust thecutting height,refertothe
Assemblysection.
DRIVE CONTROL
The drivecontrol is locatedon the upper handle.Squeezethe drive
controlto engagethe drivesystem.Releaseit to disengagethe drive
system.
SHIFT LEVER
The shift leveris locatedon thedrivecontrol housingon the upper
handle.This leveris usedto selectthe forwardspeedof the mower.
When changingspeedselection,releasethe drivecontrol.
IMPORTANT: M ovethe shift leveronly whenthe engineis running.
Changingthe shift leversettingwith the engineoff can damagethe
mower.
Keephandsand feet awayfrom the chutearea on cuttingdeck. Refer
to warninglabel on the unit.
RECOIL
STARTER
The recoilstarteris connectedto the supportrod and is locatedon the
rightsideof the lowerhandle.Standbehindthe unit and pull the recoil
starter ropeto start the unit.
GAS CAP
Removethe gas capto add fuel to the fueltank. Useclean, fresh,
regularunleadedgasolinewith a minimumof 87 octane.
SPARK PLUG
Referto the Maintenance sectionfor instructionson spark plug
replacement.
OIL CAP/DIPSTICK
Referto the Maintenance sectionfor instructionson checkingthe oil.
