CHANGING
THE BATTERIES
See Figure 48.
Unp(ug the saw.
Remove the laear guide from the saw. Lay laser guide on
a fiat surfacewith the two phillipsscrews facing upward.
Remove the screws and separate the laser guide cover
from the laser guide support.
Remove the three button ceil batteries usinga non-con-
ductJvede_ce such as a toothpick.
NOTE: RepLacethe batteries wRhsilveroxide batteries
that have a reting of 1.5 volt and 180 mah (mitfiampem
hour) minimum (Number 357 sliveroxide only).
When replacingthe batteries, the laser guide shouldbe
thoroughly cleaned. Use a soft paintbrushor similarde-
vice, to remove all sawdust and debds,
Do not attempt to activate the laser.
The |seer is activated by means of e centrifugal switch
onty while the saw motor is runningand the laser guide is
mounted on the saw.
After cleaning laser guide and replacingbatteries, secure
laser guide cover to laser guide support usingthe two
philtipshead screws, For properassembly,be sum to
align the key on the laser guide cover with the key s]ot in
the laser guide support.Tighten screws securely,
NOTE: Aperture in laser guide cover must be aligned with
aperture (n laser guide support.
