Water Filter Cartridge
The water filter cartridge is located in the
back upper right corner of the refl_igerator
compartment.
When to Replace the Filter
There is a replacement indirator light for
the water filter cartridge on the dispense_:
This light will turn orange to tell you that
you need to replace the filter soon.
The filter cam-idge shoukl be replaced
when the replacement indicator light turns
red or tf the flow of water to the dispenser
or icemaker decreases.
Installing the Filter Cartridge
O ]f you are repladng the cartridge, filet
remove the old one by slowly turning
it to tile left. DO not pull down on the
cmq:fidge. A small amount of water may
drip down.

Fill the replacement cartridge with
water fl'om the tap to allow ,for better
flow fl'om the dispenser immediately
atter installation.

3 minutes (about 1½ gallons) to clear
the ,s_stem and I}rex ent slmttering,
Press ancl hold the RESET WATERFILTER
pad on the dispenser fbr 3 seconds.
NOTE: A newly-installed water filter cartn@e may
cause water to spurt from the d/spenser.
Filter Bypass Plug
You must use the filter b}pass plug
when a replarement filter cam_idge is not
a_filable. The dispenser and the icemaker
will not operate without the filter or filter
bypass plug.

and the cmqTidge holder, place the
top of the new cartridge, ul ) inside
tile holder_ Do not push it up into
tile holder;
Slowly turn it to the fight until the filter
cam-idge stops. O0 NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
_s w)u turn the cartridge, it will
automatically raise itself into position.
Cartridge will rotate about 1/4 turn.
