Using the menus

The Home menu

The top-level or "Home" menu is always displayed when you press and hold M. The menu options are:
Music
Press to start music playback.
Video
Press to enter the Video menu and choose a particular video for viewing.
Voice Rec
Press to enter the Voice Rec menu to start voice recording.
Voice Playback
Press to enter the Voice Playback menu to access saved voice recordings.
Picture
Press to enter the Picture menu and choose a particular image for viewing.
Text Reader
Press to enter the Text menu and choose a particular file for reading.
Browser
Press to enter the Browser to browse for files.
Settings
Press to enter the Settings menu, which lets you:
• Display system time
• Change the screensaver setting
• Change the language of the Player's menus
• Choose the powersave setting
• Display space used, and space available
• Display the firmware version

Playing music files

1. Press - / + to navigate to Music.
2. Press to enter Music mode.
3. Press to start music playback.
Note: In other playback modes, press and hold M to return to the menu.

Skips to the previous file; press and hold to scan backward within

Press + Skips to the next file; press and hold to scan forward within a file
Starts/pauses playback
Press
Press R/V Enters/exits volume setting mode
In volume setting mode, press - / + Increases or decreases the volume during playback
Shows Playmode and Equalizer options
Press M during playback
Press M when playback is paused/ Shows selecting Local folder option

Press M when in Option menu
Note: To enter volume setting mode, press R/V. The volume level icon
+ to adjust the volume level. To exit volume setting mode, press R/V again.

Option menu (music playback)
Press M at the playback screen to show the Option menu of Playmode and Equalizer. Press M when
playback is paused or stopped to show the Option menu of Local folder. Press -
option and then press to confirm the selection or change the setting.
The following options are available:
Playmode – Toggles play mode. Options available: Normal, Repeat one, Repeat folder, Repeat all, Shuffle,

• Equalizer – Toggles equalizer mode. Options available: Flat, Rock, Pop, Classic, Soft, Jazz, DBB
• Local folder – Browses the local folder for selecting a media file to play.
