CHANGING THE ON-SCREEN
DISPLAY
You can check the information regarding the disc by
pressing the DISPLAY button on the remote control.
For DVDs

Press the DISPLAY button during playback.

CH (Chapter):
Current chapter number
/ the total number of
chapters.

Press the DISPLAY button again.
TT 1/2
TT(Title):
Current title number
/ the total number of
titles.

Use the Number button to start from the desired
chapter.

Press the DISPLAY button again.

BIT RATE
* appears when a layered disc is playing.

Press the DISPLAY button or the RETURN but-
ton to exit the display.
For audio CDs

Press the DISPLAY button during playback.
TR
TR (Track):
Current track number
/ the total number of
tracks.
DVD
TIME:
Elapsed time of the
current chapter and
remaining time of the
current chapter.
0:00:00 -1:23:45
TIME:
Elapsed time of the
current title and remaining
time of the current title.
BIT RATE indicator will appear.
BIT RATE shows the quantity of
information which is recorded on the DVD.
Layer number (*)
L0: Layer 0 is playing
L1: Layer 1 is playing
Current Repeat setting
C: Chapter repeat
T: Title repeat
A B: A-B repeat

BLACK LEVEL SETTINGS

You can select the BLACK LEVEL ON to make the
black areas of the picture brighter.

Press the MODE button during playback.
¡ The setup screen is displayed.

Press the ENTER button to turn it on or off.

ON: This makes the dark parts brighter. (Default:
ON)
OFF: The original picture which is recorded on the
disc will be shown.

Press the RETURN button to exit the display.

TruSurround SETTINGS

You can enjoy stereophonic sound system when you
playback Dolby Digital and PCM 48 kHz sound.

Press the MODE button twice during playback.

The setup screen will appear.

Press the ENTER button to set it on or off.
ON: TruSurround ON.(Default : OFF)
OFF: TruSurround OFF.
¡ Press the DISPLAY button ( you may have to press
it more than once), or press the RETURN button to
exit the display.
