To drop or raise the feed dog
The drop feed dog lever is located underneath the free arm
bed on the back side of the machine.
To drop the feed dog, push the lever in the direction
of the arrow, as illustrated.
To raise the feed dog, push the lever in the direction
of the arrow, as illustrated, and turn the handwheel
toward you. Feed dog must be up for normal sewing.

Needle clamp
Raise the needle.
Remove the foot holder _ by loosening the thumb
screw _.
Attach the darning foot on the presser bar putting
the pin (_ on the needle clamp (_. Tighten the thumb
screw _ firmly with a large screwdriver.

• To sew
Lower the feed dog by switching the drop feed lever to
the right.
Set the thread tension dial between 1 and 3.
Put some fabric under the foot and press up/down
needle position button twice to bring the needle thread
down through the hole in the foot. Pull the fabric and
thread to the rear. Lower the presser foot.
Press down the foot control. The machine stops after
each stitch.
Move the fabrics to where you want a next stitch.
Repeat steps _ to _ to sew. Afrer finishing sewing,
pull the threads and fabric to the rear side.
* After sewing, reset the thread tension dial at "4"
and raise the feed dog, slide the drop feed lever to
the left.
