BATTERY TYPE SETTINGS

(RDM2080d MODEL)

Only if the battery pack is not detected, the
radio will enable the battery type setting to
select either Lithium-Ion or Alkaline.
To change battery settings:
1. Press the MENU button as many times as
needed until the radio shows the current battery
type. The display will show either "LITHIUM" or
"ALKALINE". Also a full battery icon will be
shown as follows:
2. Select the battery setting according to the
battery being installed on the radio.

CHANNEL ALIAS (RDM2080d MODEL)
This feature allows the editing of the channel
name or alias.
To configure channel alias:
1. Press PTT button and
while turning radio ON for 3 sec. The radio will
emit a special beep.
The display will show the channel alias blinking
as shown.
2. Choose the channel number that will be edited
by pressing the /
3. Press the PTT button or MENU to start editing
the channel name. A cursor will blink at the end
of the channel name.
