Turn on the video cassette recorder.

cassette
recorder
to the
recording mode.
(While holding the record button
depressed, press
the

the
program
source
to be
recorded.
MIC:

recording
through
the
MIC jacks.

NE:

recording
a program
source
connected
to
the
LINE
IN
jac ks at the
rear.
Play the
program
source and
adjust

he record ing level.
Important points
to
remember
Be
sure
to
connect both
the VIDEO
IN and VIDEO OUT
jac ks
to
the video cassette recorder.
If
the
VIDEO
IN
jack of
thi
s
unit is
not
connected to
the
video output of the video cassette
recorder,
record
ing
is possib le
but
you cannot monitor the
recording,
and the
peak
program
meters
will not deflect. (For

refer to
"
LED peak program
meters" on page 25.)

• Video cassettes
incorporate
a safety tab, just as do
audio
cassettes.
If
the
tab has been
removed,
the
record
mode does
not function when the record button is pressed. To record on a
ca~sette
which
has had
the safety tab removed, simply cover
the slot w ith a piece of
plastic
tape. (For
details,
refer to
the
in·
struction
manual supplied
with the video .cassette
recorder.)
