In the printer driver, you can specify the contrast among intermediate
tones between black and white. For example, adjusting the brightness
toward Light makes the overall image brighter, with stronger contrast in
the light areas and lower contrast in the dark areas.
Note
Brightness is also referred to as the gamma curve coefficient.

If Brightness is grayed out and cannot be used, check Color Adjustment in

the checkbox. For Windows 98, confirm that Use ICM is not checked.
When using Manual for Printing, click the Details button.
Click the Color panel.
Move the slide bars of the individual colors to the left or right.
