1 Is the separation claw worn or
deformed?
2 Is the upper/lower roller deformed
or damaged?
3 Is the paper guide soiled with
toner?
4 Is the height of the paper guide
correct?
5 Is the lower roller pressure (nip)
as specified?
6 Is the cleaning belt taken up
correctly?
7 Does each sensor lever move
smoothly?
8 Are the external delivery sensor
(PS10) and the fixing assembly
outlet sensor (PS47) normal?
9 Is the delivery paper deflecting
plate oriented in the direction of
delivery?
Does the delivery roller move
smoothly?

1 Is the internal delivery sensor
(PS12) normal?
2 Does the delivery paper deflecting
plate operate normally?
3 Does the holding tray inlet roller
rotate initially?
4 Does the holding tray inlet roller
rotate at the correct timing?

Action
1. Replace the
separation claw.
2. If dirt is found, clean
the part with solvent.
Replace the roller.
Clean it with solvent.
Adjust the height.
Adjust the nip.
Check the fixing cleaner
assembly.
Adjust so that the lever
moves smoothly.
Replace the sensor.
Orient the paper
deflecting plate correctly.
Check the delivery roller
drive assembly.
Check to make sure that
the leading edge of
copies has a margin.
Action
Replace the sensor.
Adjust the position of the
delivery paper deflecting
solenoid, or replace it.
Replace the holding tray
forward clutch (CL5).
Replace the holding tray
reversing clutch (CL4).
