3. The third mode is DIGITAL COPY MODE, where the selected digital input is routed to all digital out-
puts (including AUX) as well as the D/A output. Note that this is a digital input only mode and that the analog
inputs are not routed anywhere. This mode is useful for doing multiple format conversions. In the diagram
below, the signal from an ADAT is fed to the optical input and is then format-converted and fed to all the dig-
ital outputs and the D/A converter.

Note that the Word Clock input also serves as the input for video sync when the optional Video Sync
Module is installed.

Buttons

The buttons to the left of the meters generally apply to the A/D section and main outputs (some exceptions
apply). Some of the buttons serve double-duty. These buttons activate one feature when momentarily pressed
and released and a different feature when pressed and held down for 2 seconds – see below.
