CMOS recovery jumper

The following illustration identifies the CMOS recovery jumper on the system
board.
The CMOS recovery jumper can be used to clear CMOS memory in the event you
lose the user password. See "Erasing a lost or forgotten password (clearing
CMOS)" on page 28 for information on how to use the CMOS recovery jumper.
This jumper is also used to recover from a BIOS failure. See "Recovering from a
POST/BIOS update failure" on page 29.

Installing options in a tower model

This section provides instructions for installing options in a tower model.

Moving the stabilizing feet

The two front feet attached to the bottom of the workstation rotate 90 degrees to
provide additional stability.
When you need to access the inside of the workstation to install options, you
might find it easier to lay the workstation on its side. If you do so, rotate the feet
in towards the workstation, so they do not break off due to the weight of the
CMOS recovery
jumper (J33)
