RACK POSiTiONS

RACK 5 (highest position}:
Used for toasting broad or broiling thin
non-fattyfoods.
RACK 4:
Usedfor mostbroi/ng.
RACK 3:
Used for most baked goods on a cookie
sheet or icily roll pan, layer cakes, fruit
pies, or frozen conveniencefoods.
RACK 2:
Usedfor roastingsma/cuts of meat,cas-
seroles, baking loaves of bread, bundt
cakesor custardpies.
RACK 1:
Usedfor roastinglarge cuts of meat and
poultry, frozen pies, dessert souffles or
angel foodcake.
MULTIPLERACK COOKING:
Two rack: Use rack positions2 and 4, or
1 and 4.

topcenterofthe
hal rack. Align the side arm support be-
tween the top fourth and fifth oven rack
guides. Insert the two tabs on the back
frame of the half rack intothe slotson the
upperleft rear of the oven wall.
3. Pushfirmly on the top surfaceof the hal
rack untilthe tabs slide into the slots and
the hal racksidearmsupport restson the
fourth oven rack guide.

4. Check for proper installation by placing
your handonthetopsurfaceofthehal rack
and pressing downfirmly.
TO REMOVEFROMTHE OVEN:
When the oven is
cool, grasp the top
centerofthe hal rack
and pull upward until
the back tabs on the
rack slide out of the
oven back slots.
t Do notuse cookwarethat extendsbe-
yond edge of rack.
I For best results,allow two inches be-
tween the pan placedon the rack and
the oven sidewall.
I When opening the oven door, allow
steam and hot air to escape before
reachingintotheovento removefood.
I Usecautionwhenremovingitemsfrom
the half rackto avoidburns.
I Carefullyremoveitemsfrom the lower
rackto avoiddisturbingthe hal rack.

1. Pressthe Broil pad.The BROILindicator
on theBroil padwill lightand0OO wi/light
in thedisplay.TheOVENONindicatorw/I
light and there will be an eight second
delay beforethe oventurns on.
2. Press the More+ pad to select HI (high)
broil orthe Loss- padto set LO (low)broik
SelectHI broilfor normalbroilingor select
LO broil for low temperaturebroiling of
longer cookingfoods such as poultry,
3. For optimumbrowning,preheatbroil ele-
mentfor threeto four minutesbeforeadd-
ing food,
4. Placefood in the oven, Leaveovendoor
open to the first stop position (approx,4
inches),
5. Turn meat once about half way through
cooking,
6. Press CANCEL pad, Removefood and
broilerpan from the oven,The OVENON
indicatorand the BROIL indicatoron the
Broil pad will turnoff and the time of day
will reappearin display.
I Forbest results,usea pan designedfor
broiling.
