Turning On the Printer's Network Interface Mode

If you encounter problems when using the printer on a
network, you may need to turn on the printer's network
interface mode using the buttons on the control panel. Follow
these steps:
1. Make sure the printer is off and paper is loaded in the paper
tray.
2. While holding down the Economy/Condensed button,
turn on the printer. After the printer warms up, it prints a
page listing the available control panel languages.
3. Unless you want to change the language of the control
panel, press the Pause button. (Press the Alt button to
change the control panel language.)
The printer prints two instruction sheets that describe how
to change default printer settings.
4. Press the Alt button until the Ink Out O light is flashing, the
Ink Out N N N light is off, and the Paper Out light is on.
5. Press the Pause button until the Pause light is on and the
Economy and Condensed lights are off.
6. Turn off the printer.
See Chapter 2 for instructions on installing and using the
printer driver.
