Required Configuration
Access the configuration mode
context for the backup interface.
For an analog interface, specify the
country in which the router is located.
For ISDN connections, specify the
ISDN signaling that the service
provider implements on the line.
For ISDN connections in North
America, specify the service profile ID
(SPID).
For ISDN connections, specify the LDN,
the local telephone number for the
ISDN line.
Create a backup PPP interface.
Specify an IP address for a backup PPP
interface.
Specify the number to call to reach far-
end network.
Determine whether the router can
place or answer backup calls, or both.
