Tools You Need

To install this accessory kit, you need the following tools:
An anti-static service kit (3M 8501/8502/8503 or equivalent). This kit
includes a static-dissipating work surface, a chassis clip lead, and a wrist
strap.

Power Supplies Needed

NOTE You will need to install an HP NetServer LH 3/LH 3r
Redundancy Kit as part of the LH 3 to LH 4 conversion, unless
the LH 3/LH 3r already contains a second power supply cage
and a third power supply. If you want to preserve redundancy,
you should also install a fourth power supply. In this case, refer
to the HP NetServer Power Supply Upgrade Kit Guide.
This table shows the power supply configurations for the LH 3 and LH 4 standard
and redundant configurations:
Standard Configuration
1 cage, 2 bricks
LH 3/LH 3r
2 cages, 3 bricks: 2 in first cage, and 1
LH 4/LH 4r
in second

Redundant Configuration
2 cages, 3 bricks: 2 in first cage, and 1
in second
2 cages, 4 bricks: 2 in each cage
