The specified M-VOL condition is not
valid for Remote Copy.
A volume cannot be used as an R-VOL
when:
it is used by Compatible XRC.
it is used by PPRC or Remote Copy.
it is used by Concurrent Copy.
it is in a reserved condition.
it is used by Continuous Access
Journal or Continuous Access Journal
Z.
it is used by Business Copy Z or
Compatible FlashCopy.
The device emulation type of the M-VOL
is not supported.
Current microcode version does not
support the specified operation.
Specified M-VOL may be in use by
HOST.
Recommended Action
The M-VOL is not available
for the requested operation,
because of one or more of
the following reasons:
The volume is blocked.
The volume is under
maintenance.
The volume is copying
data (correction copy or
drive copy).
The volume is in the
correction access
condition.
Check the logical device
status of the specified
M-VOL. If the M-VOL is
either under maintenance or
copying data, retry the
operation after the process
is completed.
Select another volume.

OPENPLATFORM SECTION
in the maintenance manual
to confirm whether the
device emulation type of the
M-VOL is supported by
Remote Copy.
The version of the microcode
on the 9900 storage system
does not support the
specified function or
operation. Please contact HP
Technical Support.

online. Vary the path offline,
and retry.
