Lexmark is committed to environmental sustainability and is continually improving its printers to reduce their impact
on the environment. We design with the environment in mind, engineer our packaging to reduce materials, and
provide collection and recycling programs. By selecting certain printer settings or tasks, you may be able to reduce
your printer's impact even further.
The latest version of the Universal Print Driver includes additional features to minimize the printer's environmental
impact and raise awareness about resource-saving measures.
Resource Administration tab
The Resource Administration tab can be used to encourage or enforce sustainability goals. From the Resource
Administration tab, an administrator can set defaults for or restrict access to certain settings:

Multipage printing
•
Confidential print
•
Toner darkness

Printing in black and white
Lexmark Eco-Print settings
Lexmark Eco-Print settings are pre-determined printer settings designed to reduce the amount of paper used. When
Lexmark Eco-Print settings are enabled:
•
Multipage printing is set to 2 pages per sheet.
•
2-sided printing is set to 2-sided long edge, when 2-sided printing is available and enabled.
