The CD and DVD drives contain a laser system and are
classified as a "Class 1 Laser Product" under a U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)
Radiation Performance standard according to the Radiation
Control for Health and Safety Act of 1968.
Should the unit ever require maintenance, contact an

performance procedures other than those
specified in the Upgrading and Servicing Guide
may result in hazardous radiation exposure. To
prevent direct exposure to laser beam, do not try
to open the enclosure of the CD or DVD drives.

The following label or equivalent is located on the surface of
laser products:
Note to CATV System Installer
This reminder is provided to call the CATV systems installer's
attention to section 820-93 of the National Electric Code,
which provides guidelines for proper grounding and in
particular, specify that the Coaxial cable shield shall be
connected to grounding system of the building, as close to
the point of cable entry as practical.
This label indicates that the
product is classified as a
CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT. This
label appears on a laser device
installed in your product.
Digital Television Transition Notice
This device may contain a digital television tuner. If so, it
should receive digital over the air TV programming, with a
suitable antenna, after the end of full-power analog TV
broadcasting in the United States on February 17, 2009.
Some older television receivers, if they rely on a TV antenna,
will need a TV Converter to receive over the air digital
programming, but should continue to work as before for
other purposes (e.g., for watching low-power TV stations still
broadcasting in analog, watching pre-recorded movies, or
playing video games). For more information, please see
www.DTV.gov (http://www.dtv.gov) or call
1-888-CALL-FCC. For information on the TV Converter
program, and on government coupons that may be used
toward the purchase of one, see
http://www.dtv2009.gov, or call the NTIA at
1-888-DTV-2009.
TV Antenna Connectors Protection
External Television Antenna Grounding
If an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the
product, be sure the antenna or cable system is electrically
grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage
surges and built-up static charges. Article 810 of the
National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, provides
information with regard to proper electrical grounding of the
mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire
to an antenna-discharge unit, size of grounding conductors,
location of antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding
electrodes, and requirements for the grounding electrode.
