Lighting Techniques

The single greatest influence on picture quality is the level of light, measured in lux.
The following table lists a few common conditions of usage, along with the corresponding level of brightness and
any associated lighting recommendations.
Situations
• Snow-covered mountains or fields.
• Sandy beach on a hot summer's day.
• Sunny around midday.
• Sunny day in the middle of the afternoon.
• Overcast day around midday.
• Overcast day one hour after sunrise.
• Office with fluorescent lighting near to a window.
• Sunny day one hour before sunset.
• Department store counter.
• Station ticket counter.
• Office with fluorescent lighting.
• Room lit by two 30W fluorescent lights.
• Arcade at night.
• Theater (theatre) lobby.
• Candle light.
After Recording
1. Eject the tape you have recorded. (see page 25)
2. If you want to protect a tape against accidental erasure, move the protective tab on the cassette.
3. Set the POWER switch to OFF.
4. Close the LENS cover.
5. Remove the BATTERY PACK from the camcorder.
