Line Commands

This chapter explains the following commands:

exec-timeout

history

history size

Authentication commands related to line configuration mode are in AAA
Commands.
exec-timeout
Use the exec-timeout command in Line Configuration mode to set the
interval that the system waits for user input before timeout. To restore the
default setting, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
minutes
exec-timeout
no exec-timeout
minutes — Integer that specifies the number of minutes. (Range:
0–65535)
seconds — Additional time intervals in seconds. (Range: 0–59)
Default Configuration
The default configuration is 10 minutes.

User Guidelines
To specify no timeout, enter the exec-timeout 0 command.
