2 Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen one of the heat-sink retention
screws. See Figure 3-12.
Wait for 30 seconds for the heat sink to loosen from the processor.
3 Remove the other three heat-sink retention screws.

Gently lift the heat sink off the processor and set the heat sink aside
with thermal grease side facing up.

Installing the Heat Sink

CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You

1 Using a clean lint-free cloth, remove the thermal grease from the heat
sink.
