Installing a Processor

CAUTION:
Positioning the processor incorrectly can permanently damage the
system board or the processor. Be careful not to bend the pins in the socket. Do not
use force to seat the processor.
CAUTION:
Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You
should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your
product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and
support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized is not covered by
warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.
1 Place the new processor into the socket.
NOTE:
Align the processor notch with the socket. See Figure 3-13.
2 Close the locking lever. See Figure 3-13.

Removing the 2.5" Hard-Drive Board

1 Remove the hard-drives. See "Removing 2.5" Hard-Drives" on page 56.
2 Disconnect the four SATA cables between the hard-drive board and the
system board. See Figure 3-14.
