the switch restarts.

Enabling Auto Power Down on an Ethernet Port

When auto power down is enabled on an Ethernet port, if the port is not connected to another port, or if
the peer port is shut down, the Ethernet port automatically enters the power save state, so as to lower
the power consumption of the switch.
Follow these steps to enable auto power down on an Ethernet port:
