Machine Behavior in Fax Reception

Machine Behavior in Fax Reception
This section explains how your machine behaves when receiving and printing faxes.

Reception Behavior

The machine behavior differs depending on the
specified reception mode.
Your machine is set by factory default to [Fax
Ready Mode] so that it automatically receives
faxes. If you have changed the fax reception
mode, see the following descriptions for the
machine behavior.
When the machine is receiving faxes, the <DATA
IN MEMORY> indicator is lit. If <STATUS> is
pressed and
is pressed twice, the information
is displayed on the display screen. Even if the
reception is finished, the indicator remains lit
while the data is stored in memory.

data, the reception is cancelled. If this happens, ask the
sender to resend the fax.
