Disabling FC fastwrite on a blade or switch
Disable FC fastwrite using the fastwritecfg command. Disabling FC fastwrite with this command
disrupts data traffic. For the FR4- 1 8i blade, the command powers the blade off and back on. In the case of
the 400 Multi-protocol Router, the switch is rebooted. The process takes up to five minutes.
#fastwritecfg —disable slot#
Where slot# is the slot in which the FR4- 1 8i blade is installed. A slot number is not required for the
400 Multi-protocol Router.
Example:
SJ3_6A1_12000_0:root> fastwritecfg --disable 7

Disabling FC Fastwrite will require powering off and back on the
and it may take upto 5 minutes. For non bladed system, the switch
will be rebooted. Data traffic will be disrupted.

To disable FC fastwrite on a port, enter the following command.
#portcfg fastwrite slot#/port_id —disable
Where slot# is the slot in which the FR4- 1 8i is installed, and port_id is the port number. A slot number is
not required for the 400 Multi-protocol Router.
