Main Assembly 4 (Case Unit)

Inserting the cables

1. Insert the lead wires of the FPC, print head and the Detector ass'y into the connectors.
2. Insert the cable of the Motor, paper feed into CN6 and the cable of the Motor, carriage into CN5. At
this time, make sure to insert the cables so that black or red colored side connects to the pin 1 side of
each connector.

Make sure not to confuse the cable of the Motor, paper feed and the cable of the Motor, carriage. Also
check that the black or red side of each cable is on the pin 1 side of the connector.

Main Assembly 5 (Case Unit)

Case, lower

1. Attach the Case, lower to the printer mechanism assembly. It is easy to assemble if you first place
portion B of the Case, lower under portion A of the upper plate.
2. Bring out the Motor, paper feed and cable of the Motor, carriage through portion C and the Detector
ass'y lead wires through portion D.
