Theamountof detergentto usedependson whetheryour
water ishardor soft.With hardwater,you needextra
detergent.With softwater,you needlessdetergent.
Protectyourdishesand dishwasher b y contactingyour
water departmentand askinghow hardyour water is.
Twelve or moregrainsis extremelyhardwater.A water
softeneris recommended. Withoutit, limecan buildup in
thewater valve,whichcouldstickwhileopen and cause
flooding. T oomuchdetergentwith soft watercan cause
a permanent c loudiness of glassware, c alledetching.
Usethe informationin the tablebelowas a guideto
determine the amount of automaticdishwasher d etergent
to placein the dispenser. Youmay usepowder, l iquid,gel
or tabletsin this dispenser.
Whenusingautomaticdishwashing detergenttablets,
simplyplaceonetablet in the mainwash sectionandclose
thecover.

yourdisheswill not getcleanusinga dishwashing
detergent t hat isnotformulatedto workwith dishwashers.
